Bennett, Paul R.* - Hatfield  
Paul R. Bennett of Hatfield Paul R. Bennett, 74, of Hatfield, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016. Paul was born on March 3, 1942 in Philadelphia. He graduated from Roxborough High School in 1950 and was employed as an Instrument Designer for 35 years with United Engineers. Paul was married to his high school sweetheart Dorothy (Langiewicz) Bennett for 53 years. In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by three daughters, Susan Dowd and her husband Frank of Salford, Patricia Gidaro and her husband Sam of Telford, Donna DiPietro and her husband Stephen of Souderton; seven grandchildren, Stephanie and Victoria Dowd, Michael and Bryan Gidaro, Elizabeth, Gabrielle and Nicholas DiPietro and preceded in death by his grandson Paul Michael Bennett. Paul was a devoted loving husband, a father who loved his daughters unconditionally, a quiet gentle grandfather and a kind and honest friend to many. He enjoyed a simple life. He was always present and active with his family; enjoying family vacations and his grandchildren’s sporting or musical events. He was a Philadelphia Eagles season ticket holder and avid poker player. Paul was a longtime faithful member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale and again 10:00-10:45 a.m., Thursday, June 30, 2016 at St. Maria Goretti Church, 1601 Derstine Road, Hatfield , where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Paul’s memory to St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church at the above address. DeFelice Jr., Vincent J.* - Lansdale  
Vincent J. DeFelice Jr. of Lansdale Vincent J. DeFelice, Jr., age 90, of Lansdale died June 14, 2016 at Abington Health - Lansdale Hospital. He is the beloved husband of 49 years of Shirley A. (nee. Smail) DeFelice. Born in Latrobe, PA., he was the son of the late Vincent J. and Rose (nee. Panizzi) DeFelice. Mr. DeFelice worked in Health, Aquatics, and Physical Education at Simon-Gratz High School, Lincoln High School, and Wanamaker Junior High. He received his Undergraduate Degree from West Chester and Temple University, a Master’s Degree from Arcadia University and a second Master’s Degree from Temple University. Mr. DeFelice served his country honorably with The United States Navy in the South Pacific and Antarctic. He was a longtime member of Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church. In addition to his wife he survived by his beloved daughter, Melanie Samouhos and her husband Evan of Pittstown, NJ., four grandchildren and two sisters, Ellen Jane DeFelice and Judy Defelice. He was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Powers. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Saturday, July 2, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church Chapel, 1325 Upper State Road, North Wales, (in Montgomery Township) PA. 19454, where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 in the Chapel before Mass. Interment St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont. In lieu of flowers memorial donation’s in Vincent’s name to Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church (address above), The Salvation Army (make checks payable to “The Salvation Army” and send them to 671 Bethlehem Pike., Montgomeryville, PA. 18936), or Abington Health Lansdale-Home Care and Hospice, 2510 Maryland Road, Suite 250, Willow Grove, PA. 19090. Arrangements are by Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home in Lansdale.
