Rodenbaugh, June Dawn* - Lansdale
June Dawn Rodenbaugh of Lansdale June Dawn Rodenbaugh had always claimed when you were born there was a date stamped on your backside, and when it was your time, it was your time. She was also adamant she was seldom wrong. June passed away early Thursday morning. Imagine our surprise when we rolled her over to take a look and there it was: 6-23-2016. Right again. June Dawn Rodenbaugh was born June 1, 1928 in Lansdale, Pennsylvania the daughter of Abraham L. and Anna Slater Rittenhouse. In 1988, June and her husband Thomas Francis Rodenbaugh, moved to Falls of Rough, Kentucky. In 2009 they relocated to Kissimmee, Florida. June and Tom were married for over 60 years. She was a retired registered nurse who served as an operating room supervisor, private duty nurse and worked for several prominent physicians in the Lansdale area. June ended her career working as a sales representative for Pilling Surgical Instruments. She was a Baptist by faith. June and Tom often spoke fondly of their extensive travel experiences: well, June did and Tom did what he was told. Throughout the years June and Tom held dear the close friendships they had built and maintained; many from elementary school, a rarity in today’s world. June is survived by her daughter Mary Beth Salisbury (Stephen) of Kissimmee, Florida, her son Thomas D. Rodenbaugh (Rebecca Falk) of Fort Gratiot, Michigan, two grandchildren Kathleen Smith Walter of Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, and Nicholas Salisbury (Katie) of Bartow, Florida. She also had three great grandchildren Samantha Walter, Kaeley Miller, and Addilyn Salisbury and one great-great grandchild Alex Walter. June was preceded in death by her husband Thomas F., her daughter Dawn Ann Smith and her siblings: Susan Gill (Irvin), Mildred Moore (Enos), Dorothy Swartzlander (Walter), Abraham Rittenhouse (Evelyn), Eleanor Lewis (Peter) and Carl Rittenhouse (Ruth). A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family requests in lieu of flowers, please consider spending quality time with family and friends and making a donation to your favorite charity. Please know this obituary was written with love and respect. It was written June’s way “telling it like it is.” The Rodenbaugh Family is being cared for by: Conrad and Thompson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 511 Emmett Street, Kissimmee FL 34741; 407-847-3188.
