Boyd Belmont Woodhams(1958 - 2014)

BOYD BELMONT WOODHAMS Boyd Belmont Woodhams, 55, of Harleysville, Pennsylvania; formerly of Souderton, PA passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in East Norriton, PA. He was the loving husband of Tammy Louise (Brought) Woodhams for 38 years. Boyd was born in Ithaca, New York to the Loretta Alice (Slocum) Decker and the late Donald Woodhams. He attended Athens High School in New York. Boyd served as a Gunners Mate in the US Navy and served as an Airbourne Ranger in the US Army. He attended Mansfield University for 4 years where he received a Bachelors'. Boyd was employed as a Sales Engineer for Neptune Chemical Pump in North Wales for 30 years. He was a Coach, League Representative and a North Atlantic Regional Director for Pop Warner Midget Football. Boyd was the former president of Bux-mont Youth Football League and the coach of the Souderton Braves & Lansdale Cannoneers Football. He was involved with the Pennridge High School Booster Club, Marine Corp League and Pennsylvania Army National Guard Family Readiness Group. Boyd was a member of the American Legion Post #234 in Souderton. He loved and devoted his life to football. Boyd was a very dedicated worker. He loved genealogy and learning about his family history. He especially loved spending time with family and grandchildren. Boyd was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Doylestown, PA. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three sons, Shawn Woodhams & wife, Sandi of Stroudsburg, PA, Nicholas Woodhams & wife, Olivia of Sabinsville, PA, Matthew Woodhams & companion, Sarah of Harleysville, PA; his nine grandchildren - Cody, Alexsus, Cheyenne, Alex, Peter, Christopher, Jacob, Genny and Tabitha; his four sisters, Kathy Slocum Sullivan of Mansfield, PA, Julie White of Elmira, NY, Linda Decker of Pine City, NY, Laurie Decker of Elmira, NY; his five brothers, Don "Henry" Woodhams of Wellsburg, NY, James "Jim" Woodhams of Coal Township, PA, John Decker, Jr. & wife, Tina of Williamsburg, VA, Terrance Decker & wife, Tina of Newport News, VA, Jody Decker of Elmira, NY and his numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 10:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1255 Ferry Road, Doylestown, PA 18901. Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service. Inurment will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
