Curtis Shoemaker

CURTIS SHOEMAKER Curtis Shoemaker passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the age of 98. He was preceded by his wife of more than 50 years, Sue Etta (Bissey) Shoemaker, sons Carl B. Shoemaker and Earl B. Shoemaker and brother Harry Shoemaker. He is survived by his daughter Catherine B. Carber of New Jersey; brother Abram Shoemaker, Linford Shoemaker and Harvey Shoemaker; sisters Gertrude Cordero, Ella May Shoemaker and Elizabeth Westpfahl; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Mr. Shoemaker worked for many years at Landis Block Company until his retirement. He then helped his son Earl in his mechanic shop in Souderton and fixed fishing reels and outboard motors at his daughter Catherine's marina in New Jersey. He enjoyed fishing, building radios and tending his garden. He was a member of Christ Reformed Church at Indian Creek. He loved his great-great-grandchildren and will be sorely missed by his whole family. A viewing will be held from 12:00pm-1:30pm on Saturday, February 2nd at Christ Reformed Church at Indian Creek, 171 Church Rd., Telford. Funeral Services will begin at 1:30pm. Interment will follow at Christ Reformed Church of Indian Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are by the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, Linwood, NJ.
