Elizabeth M. Pollock

ELIZABETH POLLOCK Elizabeth M. Pollock, 85, of Lansdale, entered into the presence of her Lord February 11, 2013 at her home. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James H. Pollock, who died in 1988. Born March 31, 1927 in Harrisburg, Elizabeth was a daughter of the late Emma (Shearer) and Edward Hess, Sr. Mrs. Pollock was a dedicated member of Montgomery Baptist Church in Colmar for 57 years. She was employed as a food service manager with North Penn School District for 17 years and was also active with the National Association of Christian Women in Business. Elizabeth will be remembered as a kind friend and caregiver; she generously spent her time with those in need. Above all else, she cherished being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; she will be greatly missed. Elizabeth is survived by two sons, Dennis W. Pollock and his wife, Roseanne, of Hatfield, and Ronald J. Pollock of Fyffe, AL; four grandchildren, Michael, Meghann, Rebecca, and Ryan; and eight beloved grandchildren, Angelica, Derrick, Giana, Xavier, Antonio, Alyssa, Alexis, and Nataly. She is also survived by a sister, Lois Strawhecker of Hummelstown. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. An opportunity to view and greet the family will begin 9AM Friday, February 15 at Montgomery Baptist Church, 510 Bethlehem Pike, Colmar, PA 18915, where her funeral service will follow at 10:30AM. Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elizabeth's memory to Montgomery Baptist Church, address above.
