Genara Garcia

GENARA GARCIA Genara Garcia, 81, of Telford, entered the kingdom of heaven, Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at her residence. She and her husband, Angel Garcia, would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in March. Born in Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Demensio and Carmela (Torres) Figueroa. She was employed as a sewing machine operator for eight years at the former Standard Terry Mills in Souderton prior to her retirement in 1990. She previously worked for Longacre's Poultry in Franconia as an inspector. Mrs. Garcia was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Hatfield. In her free time she enjoyed flowers and gardening, but her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by six sons, Angel Jr. and his wife, Sherry, Nelson and his wife, Lisa, all of Sellersville, Luis, Fred and his wife, Doreen, all of Pennsburg, Frank and his wife, Debbie, of Quakertown and Rick of Souderton; four daughters, Irma and her husband, Luis, of Telford, Belen and her husband, Darren, Elizabeth and her husband, Barre, all of Allentown and Abigail and her husband, Steve, of Wysock; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four sisters, Carmen, Lydia, Maria, and Callita. She was preceded in death by a brother, Santos. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, Jan. 3, at 10AM in the St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1601 Derstine Rd., Hatfield. Interment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg. Family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 2, from 7 to 9 PM in the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, 33 N. Main St., Telford, and again at the church Thursday from 9 to 10AM prior to the Mass. www.sadlersuessfuneralhome.net
