Lillian Cooper

LILLIAN COOPER Lillian Cooper, 84, of Harleysville, went home to be with the Lord and many friends and relatives February 7, 2013. She was the wife of the late William Cooper who passed away in 2005. Born August 9, 1928 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Thomas E. and Kathryn (Roats) Cornwell. Lillian was a graduate of Frankford High School in Philadelphia and went on to work over 40 years for GMAC Insurance, from where she retired. She and her husband were long time and very active members of Corpus Christi Church in Lansdale. An avid reader, she could always be found with her nose in a book or enjoying another favorite hobby of hers, knitting. But, above all else, she will be remembered for being a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many who will miss her dearly. Surviving are her children, Agnes (Cummings) Bowen and her husband, Robert, of North Carolina, Andrea "Randi" (Cooper) Martin, of Newark, OH, and W. Scott Cooper of Harleysville; her grandchildren, Eric and Randi Bowen and Kelsie, Erin, and Teagan Martin, and Katie and Anthony Tamaro; her sisters, Dolores "Lorrie" Giannotti and her husband, Vincent, of Philadelphia and Jeanette Tarone of King of Prussia, and kid sister/niece Kathleen Falco and her husband, John, of Lansdale; great-niece, Cathy Corrigan and her husband, John and great great-niece, their daughter Sarah; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Francis Cooper; grandsons, Robert and Richard Shane Bowen; three brothers and two sisters. The Funeral Mass will be held 11 AM Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Corpus Christi Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, where the family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30-10:45 AM. Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery.
