Mark R. Blackburn, 63, of Lansdale, died Friday, January 31, 2014 at Abington Health – Lansdale Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Marilyn (Loburak) Thomas Blackburn.
Born February 6, 1950 in Philadelphia, he was a son of Doris (Corbett) Blackburn, of Chalfont, and the late Robert L. Blackburn.
Mr. Blackburn was employed as a quality control inspector with Trelleborg Corporation, Colmar, for ten years. A World War II aficionado and student, he was active with the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum, Reading, especially its annual World War II Weekend Air Show. Mark also enjoyed collecting antique toy cars and was a trivia buff.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his sons, Raymond Thomas (Holly) of Lansdale, and Ryan Thomas (Brandi) of Lancaster, TX; six grandchildren, Christian, Cameron, Ethan, Sammy, Xavier, and Solomon; brother, Brian D. Blackburn, Sr. (Donna) of Chalfont; mother-in-law, Mathilda Loburak of Hatfield; three brothers-in-law, Walter Loburak of Hatfield, Joseph Loburak of Harleysville, and Edward Schmitt (Jennie) of Telford; and eight nieces and nephews, Katie, Courtney, Brian Jr., Kristen, Robby, Nicole, Colleen and Jennifer (husband Rich).
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ross Lee Blackburn.
Relatives and friends may call after 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
