Warren G. Ballentyne

WARREN BALLENTYNE Warren G. Ballentyne of Souderton Mennonite Homes passed away April 23, 2013, at Abington Health Lansdale Hospital at the age of 86. He was the loving husband of the late Myrtle E. Ballentyne for 55 years. A long-time resident of Willow Grove and Hatboro, Warren was born in Philadelphia to the late Robert and Caroline (Gomer) Ballentyne. Warren served in the US Navy stationed at Pensacola, FL during WWII. He worked in the insurance industry for over 40 years for National Union, Zurich, Glens Falls, and Continental Insurance. Warren enjoyed fishing and model railroading. He was a member of Great Swamp Fish, Game, & Forestry Association in Quakertown and a former member of the Keystone N-Trak Model Railroad Club. He is survived by his son, John Ballentyne and wife, Dianne Brumble of Philadelphia, his daughter, Christine Curran and husband, James of Harleysville and three grandchildren, Emma and Mackenzie Ballentyne and Andrew J. Curran. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Ballentyne and his sister, Doris Berry. A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 5 at 2PM at Souderton Mennonite Summit View Auditorium, 207 W. Summit St., Souderton.
