JOSEPH BAKER, SR. Joseph R. Baker, Sr., 66, died Sunday, July 14th at his residence in Telford. He was formerly from North Wales. His beloved wife, the late LuAnne M. D'Orazio Baker, died April 11, 2008. Born in Abington, he was the son of the late Joseph E. and Marie Baker. Mr. Baker was a truck driver for area trucking companies. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in North Wales. Joseph enjoyed NASCAR racing and motorcycles. Survivors include his son, Joseph R. Baker, Jr. and his fiance Eleanor Detweiler of Quakertown and his daughter, Lynne M. Baker of Davenport, FL; and 12 grandchildren. Also surviving are stepsons, Frank D'Orazio and his wife Sandy of Hatfield and Louis Oechsner and his wife Kate of Roslyn; brother, Bill Baker and his wife Sharon of Lansdale; and sisters, Mary Mangan and her husband Jim of Barton, FL and Shawn Baker of Lansdale. He was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy McIntyre. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service Thursday, July 18th at 1PM at the Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main Street, Lansdale where the family will receive friends Thursday from 11:30 to 12:45. Interment will be at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
