Mark Gaerthe

MARK GAERTHE Mark Gaerthe, 48, of Hatfield, passed away unexpectedly April 24, 2013. He is survived by his longtime companion and love of his life Terri Mooney. Born November 14, 1964 in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Donald T. Gaerthe and the late Judith A. Osipower. Mark worked many years as a motorcycle mechanic, and most recently he was employed by Cycle Stop in Norristown. Known for being handy with just about anything, Mark will be remembered for his ability to fix and build anything imaginable. He loved his mountain house and enjoyed long walks outside while visiting there. Mark's family and friends will affectionately remember his selfless and caring nature and his willingness to help anyone with whatever they needed. Although a recent injury made this more difficult, Mark never lost his sense of devotion to all those who were important to him. His loss will be deeply felt by countless friends and family. In addition to his loving companion, he is survived by his sisters, Kathy Connelly of Hatfield, Wendy Gaerthe of Telford, and Debi Chilberti of Port Orange, FL; his brother, Dennis Frankenfield and his wife, Rhonda, of Daytona Beach, FL; nephews, Matthew Chilberti and Troy Gaerthe; his great-niece, Baylie; and his Uncle Paul Osipower and his wife, Tammi. He will also be greatly missed by Terri's three grandchildren, Kaylie, Avery, and C.J., who affectionately knew him as "Poppy Mark"; and his beloved K-9 companion, Taz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Anna Mary Osipower. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Mark's life, 7PM, Thursday May 2 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, where a time to greet the family will take place from 6 to 7PM. Interment will be private.
