Obituary Condolences

ADELAIDE KEES Adelaide M. (O'Donnell) Kees of Trooper entered into eternal rest January 1, 2013 at her home. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John C. Kees, who died in 2010. Born in Philadelphia, Adelaide was a daughter of the late James S. and Adelaide F. (Benson) O'Donnell. Adelaide attended Hallahan High School, and prior to her marriage, was employed by the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal in Philadelphia. Later in life, she worked at Marshalls in Valley Forge until her retirement in 1992. She was the devoted mother of Geralyn Kees, Francis Kees and his wife, Regina, and Colleen Wartenburg and her husband, William; and Adelaide was the proud "Grammy" to Daniel and Angela Kees and Liam Wartenburg. She is also survived by a sister, Rita Hackett, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Adelaide was preceded in death by a sister, Claire Brodnyan; and three brothers, James, Raymond, and Alfred O'Donnell. Her Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated January 5, 2013 at Visitation B.V.M. in West Norriton. Interment followed in St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Monastery of St. Clare, 1271 Langhorne-Newtown Road, Langhorne, PA 19047-1297. Arrangements are by Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
