Antoinette C. Aiken Obituary
ANTOINETTE AIKEN Antoinette C. (Toni) Aiken, born 1929 and formerly of Lansdale, passed away Feb. 16, 2012 of natural causes with her son and granddaughters at her side. A graduate of Atlantic City High School, she was crowned Miss Atlantic City in 1947. She was an avid tennis player and skier. A long-time resident of Lansdale, she was active in the community, serving as past President of the Lansdale Lions Club Women's Auxiliary. Until August of 2011, she was employed by the Atlantic County Community College and lived in Millville, Sea Isle City, and Minotola, all in New Jersey. She loved the beach, spending many years living in South Jersey with her many nieces and nephews. She spent her final months in Tucson, AZ with her only son, Steve Aiken of Lansdale, and daughter-in-law, Deborah Aiken of New Jersey, Lansdale and Tucson. She had three granddaughters; Mindy (Aiken) Martin of Iowa, Sarah (Aiken) Riesgo and Stephanie (Aiken) Miramontes of Tucson; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jess Scardone of Vineland, NJ, Mike Scardone of New London, CT and three sisters, Lillian Chinnici, Rose Dagostino and Francis Smith, all of New Jersey. A private memorial service will be held by the family in Arizona. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be sent to the Southern Arizona Community Church, P.O. Box 1746, Green Valley, AZ 85622
