Carmella E. DiMarco Obituary
CARMELLA DiMARCO Carmella E. (DeSantis) DiMarco, 86, of Hatfield and formerly of Conshohocken, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013. Born February 25, 1927 in Conshohocken, she was a daughter of the late Raphael and Angelina (Rappatone) DeSantis. Mrs. DiMarco was a 1944 graduate of Conshohocken High School. She worked as a bookkeeper and in retail for many years, and she was a dedicated homemaker. Carmella enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, and old movies, especially musicals. She also loved babysitting and playing games with children. Survivors include her children, Teresa A. Mason and her husband, Stephen, of Hatfield, Joseph A. DiMarco, Jr. of Florida, and Marianne Clay and her husband, Joseph, of Dunedin, FL; three grandchildren, Charles A. Mason and his wife, Theresa, of Quakertown, Matthew M. Mason and his wife, Mary, of Nesquehoning, and Daniel A. Mason of Wilmington, DE; one great-granddaughter, Jenna Lee Mason; two step-great-granddaughters, Melissa Baj and Eva Koch; two brothers, Ralph DeSantis, of Conshohocken, and Joseph DeSantis; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony DeSantis and Ferdinand DeSantis; and her sister, Louise Delli Pizzi. Relatives and friends may call between 6 and 8PM Friday, Sept. 20, at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale. The Funeral Mass will be held 10AM Saturday, Sept. 21 at Holy Spirit Anglican Church, 1133 West Orvilla Rd., Hatfield, PA 19440. Burial will follow in George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Mrs. DiMarco's memory to Holy Spirit Anglican Church, address above.
