CONRAD SCHAFFER Conrad Schaffer, 81, of Telford, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 at his residence. He was the husband of 27 years to the late Marjorie L. (Freed) Schaffer who died in 2003. Born in Telford, he was the son of the late Conrad and Myrtle (Hildebrandt) Schaffer. A U.S. Army veteran, he served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Schaffer was employed as a plumber for Allegro in Horsham for 20 years prior to his retirement. He was previously employed at BKG Company. Following his retirement, he worked part-time as a driver for the Manheim Auto Auction in Hatfield. In his free time, he liked to travel, loved Chrysler's, mornings at McDonald's, and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by a daughter, Donna Schaffer of Hilltown Twp., a son, Keith Schaffer of Berks Co., two stepdaughters, Sharon Lynn (Alderfer) Walter of Perkasie and Patricia Ann Shisler of Coopersburg, a stepson, Daniel Alderfer and his wife Dorene of Haycock; six grandchildren, Amy Jo (Walter) Rush, Darren Haich, Lindsay Ann (Shisler) Dawson, Ashley Lee (Shisler) Weiss, Dana Marie (Alderfer) Gurst and Dawn Elizabeth Alderfer; seven great-grandchildren, Noah, Ava and Luke Rush, Jaylyn and Layla Dawson, Olyvia Weiss and Deagen Alderfer; a sister, Kathryn Scott of Telford; and his special dog, Richie. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 12 at 10AM in the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, 33 N. Main St., Telford. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Souderton. Family will receive friends from 9 to 10AM prior to the service.
