GEORGE KLING JR. George S. Kling Jr., 94, of North Wales, passed away March 5, 2012. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Kling, who died in 1969. Born September 16, 1917, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late George S. Kling, Sr. and Mabel Elizabeth (Boston) Kling. Mr. Kling was a graduate of West Philadelphia High School and received a Master of Science Degree in Bacteriology from The Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. He worked as a bacteriologist at a number of local companies, including Sharp and Dohme in Glenolden, Merck Sharp & Dohme in West Point, and the former Lemmon Pharmaceutical in Sellersville. His hobbies and interests included photography, Egypt, and "fixing things." He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Friling and Elaine Bryson; and three grandchildren, Andrea Repko, Melissa Merschman, and Jamie Friling. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Kling, who died in 1971. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Kling's memory may be made to Manna on Main Street, 514 W. Main St., P.O. Box 763, Lansdale, PA 19446, or to the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 556, Ambler, PA 19002. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home in Lansdale.
