JACQUELINE MOOD Jacqueline A. (Diehl) Mood of Souderton died February 7, 2012 at her residence. She was 83 years old. Jacqueline was the wife of the late John D. Mood, Sr. who passed away in 1992. Born in Doylestown she was the daughter of the late Arthur C. and Ethel (Homer) Diehl. She was the sister of Lorraine (Harold) Meyers of Perkasie. Jacqueline lived most of her life in the Harleysville/Souderton area. She was a 1946 graduate of Doylestown High School. Jacqueline was a secretary for 20 years at various companies. Jacqueline was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Telford VFW. Jacqueline enjoyed genealogy and researching both the Mood and Diehl families back to their migration to the states. She was an avid reader and a Phillies fan. Jacqueline is survived by her daughter, Mercedes, her husband, Donald L. Davies, and their children, Donald J. and Jacqueline Davies with whom she resided; a son, John D. Mood, Jr., his wife, Patricia, of Hawaii and son-in-law, Barry Lee Hostetler of Duncannon. She is also survived by eight other grandchildren, Jill Davies, Barry Lynn Hostetler, Daryl Hostetler, Jill Gorner, Heidi Norcross, Eric Mood, Kristopher Mood and Kristina Mood. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law, Jean Mood and Mary Ellen (Allen) Williams, brother-in-law, Samuel Mood and many nieces, nephews and her dear cousin, Evelyn Kenny. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra L. Hostetler. The family would like to express their gratitude to Phyllis and Robert Greiser and their children for all their help and support throughout the years. A funeral service will be held at 1PM, Friday, Feb. 10, at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown, where friends may call from 12PM, until the time of the service. Interment will follow the service in Mechanicsville Cemetery, Mechanicsville.
