Obituary Condolences

JEAN WACHENHEIM Jean P. Wachenheim, 81, of Lansdale, died Friday, March 2, 2012. She was the wife of Milton B. Wachenheim, her husband of 55 years. Born April 29, 1930 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Arley (Hortman) Anderson. Jean dedicated her life to helping others. She was a long-time member of the former North Penn Hospital Auxiliary where she volunteered as a Pink Lady. She also coordinated Meals on Wheels and helped with the Senior Day Care with the North Penn VNA. Jean loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her hobbies included reading and listening to music. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Lynne Walsh and husband, Joseph, of Franconia, Kimberly Wachenheim of Lansdale, and Kathi Dickinson and husband, Ronald, of Pottstown; and seven grandchildren, Brian, Amanda, Laura, Kyle, Sara, Brandi, and Cori. The Memorial Service will be held 11AM Wednesday, March 7 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 69 West Broad St., Souderton. Relatives and friends may call after 10AM. Burial will be private. For those desiring, contributions may be made in Jean's memory to the Montgomery County SPCA, P.O. Box 222, Conshohocken, PA 19428 or to Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, 533 Foundry Rd., Norristown, PA 19403. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
