Mr. Byrne was a special man. I will be forever grateful for the support and encouragement he gave me during my coaching career at Moravian College. If he attended a game, I knew he would there at the end to offer a firm handshake and a pat on the back. If he was not at a game, I could expect a phone call that evening from him with a message of support. He will be missed and my thoughts and prayers are with his family.
