JOHN BELL John Herbert "Jack" Bell, 84, of Sarasota, FL and formerly of Vandergrift, passed away on January 14, 2013. Born Sept 14, 1928 in Vandergrift to Elizabeth and John Bell, Jack was a Lieutenant in the USAF serving as a navigator during the Korean War. Jack was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton Business School and founded Precision Finishing Inc in Sellersville in 1955. Jack has been involved with Sarasota Meals on Wheels and the Lansdale Jaycees, a member of Indian Valley Country Club, The Meadows Country Club, St John's United Church of Christ, Alpha Sigma Phi, Masons, Philadelphia Association of Metal Finishers and the Tremont Club of Lansdale. He was very involved in the Lansdale community, which included serving as President of the North Penn School District. He is survived by his beloved of 20 years, Suzanne MacVaugh; children, Jane Bell Murphy, Thom Bell and Jeffery Bell; grandchildren, Ryan Murphy, Michael Murphy, Andrew Bell, Dean Bell, Adam Bell, Jeffery Bell and Katie Bell; great-grandchildren, Julie Murphy and Aiden Bell. He was preceded by death by Patricia Bell. Memorial Service will be Sat, Feb 9 at 2PM at St John's United Church of Christ in Lansdale.
