JOHN ALLISON John M. Allison, 81, of Boyertown, formerly of Seminole, FL, died Sunday, December 30, 2012 at ManorCare in Montgomeryville. He had been in failing health. Born in Springfield, VT he was the son of the late Edward A. and Katheryn G. (Miller) Allison. Mr. Allison was raised in N. E. Philadelphia. Mr. Allison served his country honorably with the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He had worked as a Sales Supervisor with Stroehmann Bread. A true outdoorsman, he loved to go fishing and hunting as much as possible. He is survived by his former wife Geraldine B. Allison, four children; John B. Allison and his wife Lorraine of Williamsburg, VA., Gerard B. Allison and his wife Lorna of Burnet, TX., Edward J. Allison and his wife Ann of Lansdale and Jeannine M. Patterson and her husband David of Red Hill; three sisters Anne Merkh, Carol Johnson, and Noelle Woodham; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass Saturday, January 5, at 11 AM at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church, 1325 Upper State Rd., North Wales, PA. 19454 (in Montgomery Twp) where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM before Mass. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Arrangements are by Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, Lansdale.
