Joseph M. Angelichio

Obituary Condolences

JOSEPH ANGELICHIO Joseph M. Angelichio, 64, of North Wales and formerly of Ambler, passed away unexpectedly May 21, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Susan E. (Dmochowski) Angelichio with whom he would have celebrated 44 years of marriage in September of this year. Born September 16, 1948 in Norristown, Joe was a son of the late Dominick J. and Anna T. (Picard) Angelichio Carapello. Joe was a 1966 graduate of Wissahickon High School. A long-time member of St. Rose of Lima Parish in North Wales, he worked for MOPAC for 30 years from where he retired in 2005. Joe was a former Nor-Gwyn Little League coach since its inception and also coached girls softball. In addition, he was an avid sports fan and his favorites included the Phillies and most especially North Penn High School football which he followed faithfully for many years. Joe also enjoyed golf, traveling to Florida, and was a great fan of Doo-wop music. Perhaps most of all, he will fondly be remembered for his deep devotion to his family, especially his grandchildren whom he loved very much. He will be dearly missed. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Leon and his wife, Debbie, of Lansdale, Joey, Jr., of North Wales, Karen Bettner and her husband, Mike of Telford and Amanda Fisher and her husband, Steve, of Estero, FL. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Anthony, who is currently serving in Kuwait with the US Army, Joey, Katie, Jason, and Jimmy; and his siblings, Buck and his wife, Carmella, of Norristown, and Joanne Santangelo and her husband, Sal, of Norristown. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his step-father, Anthony Carapello. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 10 to 11AM, Tuesday May 28 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 428 S. Main St., North Wales, PA 19454, where Joe's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Norristown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe's name to the Montgomery County SPCA, P.O. Box 222, Conshohocken, PA 19428. Arrangements are by Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
