M. Michelle Smith Obituary
M. MICHELLE SMITH M. Michelle "Mikki" Smith, 65, of Quakertown died February 11, 2012 in Keystone House, Hospice Wyndmoor. Born in Lansdale she was the daughter of the late William A., Sr. and Esther Margaret "Peg" (Diehl) Smith. She was the founder of the Great American Popcorn Works in Telford, and the Butterfly Photo Work Shop in Milford Square. Most recently she owned and operated MM Consulting Services in Milford Square. Mikki was a graduate of Cedar Crest College and a nationally ranked tennis coach for Cedar Crest College. She was an all-around athlete, especially enjoying skiing and biking. She loved animals,books and gardening. She volunteered with the Milford Township Historical Society and helped develop the Molasses Creek Park in Milford Township. She was a member of Quakertown Evangelical Church in Quakertown. She is survived by two brothers, William A. of California, and James R. and his wife, Robin, of Tennessee; a sister, Deborah Wetzel and her husband, Randal, of Quakertown; twelve nieces and nephews; and eight great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Joanne. The family will be holding a memorial service Saturday, February 18, at 12PM in Quakertown Evangelical Church, 317 Juniper St., Quakertown. Calling time is 11AM to 12PM in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Grand View Health Foundation, Attn: Breast Cancer Fund, 700 Lawn Ave. Sellersville, PA 18960.
