Obituary Condolences

MARIA SALWACH Maria Salwach, 85, of Lansdale, died Christmas Day, December 25, 2011. She was the wife of Feliks Salwach, her husband of 62 years. Born October 31, 1926 in Poland, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Ficek) Czerwonka. Mrs. Salwach was a dedicated homemaker who served as the "glue of the family." In addition to these responsibilities, she was also employed in a number of capacities upon moving to Pennsylvania in 1964. Mrs. Salwach was an avid seamstress and excellent Polish cook known for her "green thumb." She had a strong faith and was a dedicated volunteer at Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine for decades. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Jane Dobrowolski of Lansdale, Christine Kellner and husband, James, of Maryland, and Stan Salwach and wife, Linda, of Philadelphia; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Walter Dobrowolski. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Wednesday, Dec. 28, at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale. Relatives and friends may call after 10AM. Burial will be in Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery. Arrangements by Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
