Obituary Condolences

MARIE HECKLER Marie (Moll) Heckler, 91, of Harleysville and formerly a resident of Lansdale for over 50 years, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Mercy Suburban Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Walton C. Heckler with whom she celebrated 66 years of marriage this past May. Born July 16, 1921 in Red Hill, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Jennie (Weiss) Moll. Marie graduated as Valedictorian of Pennsburg High School in 1939 and then attended Allentown Business School, graduating in 1941. She was employed for over 30 years with several local banks, retiring as a Customer Service Representative with the former Philadelphia National Bank, Lansdale, in 1981. Marie was a longtime active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lansdale, where she taught both Sunday School and Bible School. She was also involved in the church's Women's Organization and served as president of the Lansdale Church Women United. Marie enjoyed helping at the polls for the Election Board, and she was a Cub Scout Den Mother and, later, Girl Scout Troop Leader. Her hobbies included gardening and quilting. Throughout her life, though, her faith and family were most important to her. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Clyde A. Heckler and his wife, Sheryl, of Laurel Springs, NJ,and Janet H. Frink and her husband, Mark, of Milford; grandchildren, Tracy Panzarella and her husband, Bernard, of Norwood, MA, Gary Heckler and his fiance, Kelly, of Charlotte, NC, Christine Zay and her husband, Michael, of Philadelphia, and Charles Frink and his wife, Jaime, of Felton, DE; and her great-grandchildren, Briana Zay, Patrick Frink, and Amelia Frink. Marie is also survived by her sister, Elsie Walls of Telford; brothers-in-law, Robert Stoudt of Collegeville, and Stanley Heckler and his wife, Dorothea, of Nazareth; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Stoudt. Relatives and friends may call after 1PM Sunday, February 17 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1000 W. Main St., Lansdale, followed by the Memorial Service at 2PM. Interment will follow in the church columbarium. Arrangements are by Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
