Obituary Condolences

MARIE BENNER Marie M. Benner, 88, of Souderton, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in the skilled nursing unit of the Souderton Mennonite Homes, Franconia Twp. She was the beloved wife of 67 years to the late Charles B. Benner who died in 2009. Born in Norristown, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Sadie (Moyer) Moyer. A homemaker for most of her life, Mrs. Benner was a member of Franconia Mennonite Church. Along with her husband, she helped to plant the Salem Mennonite Church, where she taught Sunday school and Bible School, and participated in the Sewing Circle. In her free time she also enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, traveling and quilting. She is survived by a daughter, Christine Seasholtz and her husband, William, of Hatfield; four sons: Dennis M. Benner and his wife, Donita, of North Springfield, VT, C. David Benner and his wife, Elfriede, of Perkasie, Timothy Benner and his wife, Pamela, of Telford and Neil Benner and his wife, Barbara, of Souderton; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death a daughter-in-law, Faye Benner, and a brother, Raymond "Buddy" Moyer. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 22, at 11AM in the Summit View Auditorium of the Souderton Mennonite Homes, 207 W. Summit Street, Souderton, PA, 18964. Interment will follow in the Franconia Mennonite Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10 to 11AM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Living Branches Foundation at the above address.
