Obituary Condolences

NEVIN MOYER Nevin L. Moyer, 87, of Franconia Twp., went home to be with the Lord Thursday, June 21, 2012 at his residence. He and his beloved wife Margaret (Blank) Moyer celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary in March. Born in Franconia Twp., he was a son of the late Nelson and Emma (Landis) Moyer. For most of his life he was employed in maintenance and as a caretaker of the H. W. Longacre family properties and for the former Wampler-Longacre Poultry facility in Franconia Mr. Moyer was a long-time member of Franconia Mennonite Church where he sang in the church choir, was a part of the men's quartet, taught Sunday school for more than 50 years, and was very involved and supported his church in many areas and activities. A good storyteller, he loved people, history, and learning. He also enjoyed his yearly expeditions to the Pennsylvania Farm Show. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Gloria Landis and her husband, Donald, of Ephrata, and Wanda Hagey and her husband, Blaine, of Souderton; two sons, Nevin Lee Moyer and his wife, Bev, of Green Lane, and Martin Moyer of Telford; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wellington Moyer of Hickory, NC, and Nelson Moyer of Harleysville. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mahlon Moyer, and two sisters, Katie Moyer and Bessie Landes. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 27 at 11AM in the Franconia Mennonite Church, 613 Harleysville Pike, Franconia. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11AM prior to the service. Arrangements are by the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, Telford.
