NICHOLAS THEE, SR. Nicholas J. "Nick" Thee, Sr., 85, of Lansdale, began his journey to meet his Lord Saturday, February 4, 2012 surrounded by his loving family at Elm Terrace Gardens. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Mary Ann (Glueck) Thee. Born December 6, 1926 in Philadelphia and raised in Alpine, TX, Nick was a son of the late Nicholas M. and Kathryn (Weyer) Thee. Nick served his country honorably in the United States Navy during World War II and later attended Sol Ross University. He was employed as a driver with North Penn Transfer for 34 years. Mr. Thee was a founding member of the North Penn Credit Union, and he served his community for over 30 years as Montgomery County Constable, Lansdale Borough Councilman, and as a Lansdale Borough Tax Collector. Nick was a longtime and dedicated member of St. Stanislaus Church in Lansdale. For many years, he was a member the Lions Club, the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, and the VFW. In addition to his wife, Mr. Thee is survived by eight children, Nicholas J. Thee, Jr. (Erika) of Coopersburg, Michael G. Thee (Cindy Lyn) of Ashburn, VA, Marian K. Johnson (Joseph) of Lansdale, Carolyn S. Wagenhoffer (Frank) of Lansdale, Christine A. Calhoun (Joseph) of Lansdale, Patricia A. Harp (Steven) of Telford, Lauren E. Souder (Denny) of Perkasie, and Elaine M. Maginnis (Kenneth) of Perkasie; 34 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Kathy Watts of El Paso, TX, and Judy Stasky of Bremond, TX. Nick was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Relatives and friends may call from 6 to 8PM Thursday, Feb. 9, at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale. The family will greet friends 9 to 10:45AM Friday, Feb. 10, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nick's memory to Elm Terrace Gardens (designated Gifts and Memorials Fund), 660 N. Broad Street, Lansdale, PA 19446.
