PETER SCHROTH Peter J. Schroth, 69, of Oak Hill, VA passed away Friday, December 30, 2011 at Fair Oaks Hospital after a brief illness. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy. He retired as Director of the H.R. Department for Fairfax County Government where he served for 15 years. Prior to that he was Vice President of H.R. for Unisys in Blue Bell, PA for 25 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. His interests included woodworking, building and gardening, but above all else his family and friends. He was the beloved husband of Marguerita Schroth, devoted father of Matthew P. Schroth of Herndon, VA and Kathryn M. Schroth of Jeffersonton, VA, and loving brother of Judi Van Hauer of Minnesota. He is also survived by his father- in-law, Edward Baldock of London, England and his nephews, Ben Van Hauer and Adam Van Hauer of Minnesota. A Memorial Service will be held at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9902 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA Saturday, January 7 at 1PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors) www.nationalcops.org
