PHILIP HARFMAN Philip Joseph Harfman, 74, of North Wales, passed away Wednesday evening, May 2, 2012, at Fox Chase Cancer Center. He had been in failing health. He was the beloved husband of Eleanor M. (Ores) Harfman. Born and raised in Wilkes Barre, he was the son of the late Philip and Herta Wanek Harfman. As a young man he served his country honorably with the U.S. Navy. Mr. Harfman worked as a manager for the Southland Corporation. He was an avid reader, enjoyed cinematography and was a fan of all the Philadelphia Sports teams. His greatest love was spending time with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his wife he survived by his daughter, Kathleen A. Eversley and her husband, Stephen, of Lansdale; two sons, Philip M. Harfman and his wife, Laurie, of Lansdale and Matthew D. Harfman of North Wales; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Philip, Andrew and Matthew Harfman; two sisters, Margaret Citara of Levittown and Deborah Brown of Yorktown, VA; and many nieces and nephews as well as his daughter-in-law Jeanne Harfman. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Harfman in 1997; two brothers, James and John Harfman; and a sister, Pat Harfman of Wilkes Barre. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass Tuesday May 8, at 11AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 9:15 to 10:45AM before Mass at the Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main St., Lansdale,. Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
