RALPH THOMAS Ralph F. Thomas, 87, of Sellersville and formerly of Lansdale, passed away March 11, 2013 at Rockhill Mennonite Community. He was the beloved husband of 62 years to Marian S. (Schatz) Thomas. Born April 20, 1925 in Blue Bell, he was a son of the late Henry and Alice (George) Thomas. Ralph served his country proudly during World War II with the United States Navy, serving on the U.S.S. Rocky Mount. An avid lover of nature, he could always be found outside hiking. Also, among his hobbies were refinishing furniture and chair caning. Ralph was extremely handy, and could make almost anything you can imagine, which he took great pride in doing. In addition he loved to travel with his wife and family including trips to the beach, and will be remembered by his family as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother to whom family meant the world. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Sharon Havington and her husband, Andy, of Lansdale; his grandson, Andrew Havington and his fiancée, Jaclyn Goffredo, of Budd Lake, NJ; and his brother, Arthur Thomas and his wife, Edna, of Telford. He also leaves behind many loving relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth MacIntyre and his brothers, Harold and Louis Thomas. Ralph's funeral service will take place 11AM, Friday March 15th at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale where relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 10 AM until the time of the service.
