Ralph S. Frederick Obituary
RALPH FREDERICK Ralph S. Frederick, 80, of Hamburg, went home to be with his Lord and Savior July 29, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital, Reading. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (Derstine) for 59 years. Ralph was born in Souderton to the late Norman and Hannah (Stauffer) Frederick. He enjoyed a lifetime of farming in Berks County. In addition, he worked for many years as a real estate agent for Hershey Farm Agency. He volunteered much of his time to assist and support his family. Ralph and Elizabeth served as church planters, supported Gateway Christian School, and their church where he served on various committees, as an elder, and as a Sunday school teacher. He is a current member of Hope Community Church, Fleetwood. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Steven (Glenda) Frederick of Mertztown, Dale (Catharine) Frederick of Hamburg and Ray (Susan) Frederick of Mertztown; a daughter, Julia (Clifford) Mease of Quakertown; two brothers, Elmer Frederick of Pennsburg and Norman Frederick of Hutchinson, KS; a sister, Esther Landis of Ontario, Canada; and a sister-in-law, Nora Frederick of Denver, CO . He was preceded in death by a brother, Abram Frederick; two granddaughters; and two great-grandsons. A viewing will be held Friday, August 3 from 6 to 8PM and Saturday, August 4, from 12:30 to 2PM at Hope Community Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 4, at 2PM at Hope Community Church, 31 Lobachsville Road, Fleetwood. Burial will take place at the Franconia Mennonite Cemetery.
