William F. Weaver Obituary
WILLIAM WEAVER William "Bill" F. Weaver, 90, of Souderton, formerly of Hatfield, passed away October 22, 2013. He and his wife, Margaret "Peg" (Dettra) Weaver, observed their 61st wedding anniversary this year. Born March 24, 1923 in Cammal, Lycoming Co., he was a son of the late Joseph E. and Marian L. (Church) Weaver, and graduated from Tioga High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War. He was a Tech Training Instructor at N.A.S. Willow Grove and retired from there as an AMS CPO. He remained a member of the FRA and TREA as a retiree. Mr. Weaver was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church of Hatfield. He was also a member of Tioga Lodge No. 373, F. & A.M; a Past Cdr. of Hatfield Post 933 and a 9th District Deputy Cdr., American Legion; and a Past Chef de Gare of Voiture 927, 40 & 8. Bill also drove patients for the 's Road to Recovery. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Peg Malloy and her husband, Steve, of Worcester, Wendy Weaver of Quakertown, and Pamela Matolicz and her husband, Frederick, of Souderton; four siblings, John Weaver and his wife, Patricia, Marilyn Robertson, Phyllis Cummings, and Leonard Weaver and his wife, Shirley; three grandchildren, Corey and Michelle Zollo, and Robert Matolicz; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three siblings, Jeanette Dingle, Donna Higgenbotham, and Arthur Weaver; a granddaughter, Margaret Mae Malloy; and a great-grandson, Corey Zollo, Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 10:30AM Monday, October 28, at Grace Lutheran Church, 25 W. Broad St., P. O. Box 57, Hatfield, PA 19440, where friends may call for the viewing from 9:30 to 10:15AM. Burial will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the church above. Arrangements are by the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc. of Franconia Twp.
