Joan Bustard Obituary
JOAN BUSTARD Joan (Kunkle) Bustard, 85, formerly of Cedars, passed away February 7th at Dock Woods Community in Towamencin Twp. Born February 12, 1928 to the late John and Lillian (Springer) Kunkle, Joan was married to her late husband, Arthur L. Bustard, for 62 years. She was a graduate of Schwenksville High School and was employed as a tile decorator by American Olean Tile in Lansdale until shortly after her marriage. Joan is survived by her three children, Arthur C. Bustard and his wife, Barbara, of Worcester, Beverly Gaydos and her husband, Joseph, of Worcester, and Kathy Bustard of Skippack; three grandchildren, Mary-Kate Najarian and her husband, Chris, of Worcester, Rachael Leach and her husband, Chris, of Annapolis, MD, and Rebeccah Gaydos of Worcester; and a great grandchild, Evan Tyler Najarian. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Doris Fox and John Kunkle. Joan was known for her infectious laugh and ability to enjoy life. She was a member of Wentz's U.C.C. in Worcester and worked hard on the Church Bazaar in the flower decorating booth for many years. She was devoted to her family and loved babysitting her grandchildren. Joan was a member of the Priscilla Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and The Order of the Amaranth. She and her husband were very active with the Rajah Shriners for many years. A viewing will be held from 10-10:45AM on Thursday, February 13, at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike @ Cedars Rd., Skippack, where the funeral service will begin at 11AM. Burial will follow at Wentz's U.C.C. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Wentz's U.C.C. Endowment Fund, 3246 Skippack Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446, or to the Living Branches Foundation, 275 Dock Dr., Lansdale, PA 19446 and note on memo of check, Dock Woods Nursing Scholarship Fund.
