John M. "Chip" Damiani Obituary
JOHN M. 'CHIP' DAMIANI John M. "Chip" Damiani, 71, of Woxall, passed away Jan. 29, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Marie (Chittick) Damiani, father of Kim Smith and grandfather of Matthew Asbury. Born in Woxall, he was a son of the late Alfred and Mary (LoBue) Damiani. Chip served his country honorably in the Army during the Vietnam War. His life-long profession was shoe repair, owning Al's Shoe Service in Lansdale and later the Country Cobbler in Woxall. He was also know by many through working in the Spice Shop in Zerns and as a part-time plumber in the area. Chip attended the Family Worship Center Church in Lansdale. Surviving with his wife, daughter and grandson, are siblings: Bettie, wife of Rev. Peter Miller, Pete Damiani and wife Bea, Lillia, widow of Richard Schaffer, Rev. Alfred "JR" Damiani and wife Beverly, all of Woxall. Timothy Damiani and wife Wendy of Quakertown; sisters-in-law Elizabeth of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. and Norma of Harleysville; 17 nieces and 9 nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Ellis, David and Paul. A memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014 at the Family Worship Center, 1000 Troxel Road, Lansdale, PA 19446. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg, was in charge of arrangements. Contributions may be made in Chip's memory to the Morning Star Maternity Home, PO Box 1383, Lansdale, PA 19446.
