DELANO P. 'DEL' MUSE Delano P. "Del" Muse, 77, of Hilltown Twp., passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014 in the Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Salisbury Twp. He and his beloved wife Mary L. (Alderfer) Muse would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary in April. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Paul R. and Alma G. (Buck) Muse. A graduate of Parkland High School, he went on to graduate from Penn State University with a Master's Degree in Agriculture. Along with his family, he owned and operated Frederick's Flowers in Souderton since 1960. Del was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Telford. He was involved in many community organizations including being a 50-year member of the MacCalla Lodge #596 F&AM in Souderton, Scottish Rite, Damascus Commandary, the Grundsow Lodge #2, Souderton Lions' Club, Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, John Deere, Bucks-Mont 2-cylinder Club, served on the Board of Directors for the Montco Farm, Home and 4-H Foundation in Creamery, PA, the GTV Edelweiss Dancers, and was a member of the Reading Liederkranz. He loved making funnel cakes, and most importantly, spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Christopher K. Muse and his wife Charlene of Perkasie, and Gregory P. Muse and his wife Sally of Quakertown, a daughter, Lynne Stout and her husband Dave of Allentown, seven grandchildren: Lindsay, Will, Hans, Sabine, Anja, Sheyanne, Austin, and a brother, Ronald R. Muse and his wife Barbara of Souderton. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 11 AM in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 107 W. Lincoln Ave., Telford, PA 18969. Interment will follow in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM in the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, 33 N. Main St., Telford, and on Wednesday at the church from 10-11 AM prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Paul's Lutheran Church at the above address.
