Louis S. DePaul Obituary

Louis S. DePaul, 91, of Hatfield, died Friday, March 14, 2014 at Wynwood of Montgomery. He was the beloved husband of the late Anita R. (Coroniti) DePaul.
Born January 12, 1923 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Dominic and Rose (Squillace) DePaul.
Mr. DePaul was employed as an instrument technician with Fischer & Porter, Warminster, for 42 years, retiring in 1988. Upon his retirement, he worked in sales with Troy-Bilt, Montgomeryville, for 20 years.
Lou was a veteran of the US Army and was awarded the Purple Heart for his service at the Battle of the Bulge during World War II. He was active with the Yankee Division Veterans Association and was a member of the American Legion Post 125, Ambler, PA.
Mr. DePaul was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, Lansdale, where he was an usher for 44 years. He also was an avid gardener.
Survivors include his children, Louis E. DePaul and his wife, Maliz, of North Wales, and Mark D. DePaul and his wife, Lynne, of Lansdale; and four grandchildren, Emily A. DePaul, Christopher L. DePaul, and Elizabeth R. DePaul, all of North Wales, and Mark P. DePaul, of Lansdale.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Glynn.
A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated for the family at St. Stanislaus Church, Lansdale. Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
The DePaul family extends their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Wynwood of Montgomery and Home Instead Senior Care, Skippack, for their dedicated care and support over the past 18 months.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Mr. DePaul's memory to St. Stanislaus Parish Social Ministry, Attn: Sister Barbara McGahan, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446.
