Margaret F. Stover Obituary
MARGARET F. STOVER Margaret F. Stover, 93, of Lansdale, passed on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Abington Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Herbert H. Stover, who died in 1985. Born October 20, 1920 in Lansdale, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Kintzer) Filbert. Mrs. Stover was employed as a bookkeeper for many years, retiring from Lansdale Borough in the late-1980s. She was a veteran of the US Navy having served as a WAVE during World War II. Margaret was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lansdale. She was active with the Boy Scout Troop 399 Ladies Auxiliary, Montgomeryville, and the Lansdale and Tulpehocken Historical Societies. She also loved historical travel and was an avid reader. Survivors include her sons, Gregory S. Stover and his wife, Joyceann, of North Wales, and Stephen J. Stover and his wife, Carol, of Lansdale; four grandchildren, Zachary, Daniel, Bryan, and Sean (Brenda); and her sister, Jane C. Walton of Montgomeryville. Relatives and friends may call after 9:00 a.m. April 10, 2014 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Mrs. Stover's memory to the Montgomery County SPCA, 1059 Sweisford Road, Perkiomenville, PA 18074 or the Boy Scouts of America Cradle of Liberty Council, 1485 Valley Forge Road, Wayne, PA 19087.
