Jean Woehling Bosler Obituary
JEAN (WOEHLING) BOSLER Jean (Woehling) Bosler, 96, of Dock Woods Community, formerly of Worcester, went home to her Lord on July 11, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Clarence Bosler, in 1995. Born in 1918 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Herbert L. and Katherine E. (Stoddard) Woehling. She graduated from Upper Merion High School and Swarthmore College. Jean gave much of her time and energy to her family and community. She was a long-time member of Wentz's United Church of Christ, a volunteer for over 30 years with the American Red Cross, a volunteer for many years to assist those with mental disabilities through MARC. She and her husband were strong supporters of Penn State Football. They formed a family business, Boyertown Fabricators, with their three sons. She was involved in all the activities of her children. She was a supportive and hands-on grandmother, neighbor and friend, earning the respect and admiration of those whose lives she touched. Surviving are four children, William L. Bosler of Schwenksville, Robert W. Bosler of Boyertown, Thomas S. Bosler and his wife Sarah of Douglassville, and Mary B. MacDonald of Sellersville. She was "Nana" to ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter . She is also survived by a sister, A. Claire Spangler; and a sister-in-law, Molly Woehling. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Katherine J. Woehling, Nancy L. Moore, and H. Leigh Woehling; and a son-in-law, James MacDonald. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jean's memorial service on July 26, 2014, at Wentz's U.C.C., 3246 Skippack Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446. The family will greet mourners, beginning at 9:00 am, with the service at 10:00 am. Private graveside services took place in the adjoining church cemetery for the family. For those desiring, contributions may be made in her memory to Wentz's. Arrangements are by R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. of Skippack.
