RICHARD HARLOW Richard A. Harlow, of Hilltown, died Sunday, February 19, 2012, in Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia. He was 75. Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late Albert J. Sr. and Helen M. (Brucker) Harlow. A 1953 graduate of the former Hilltown High School, he served with the 228th Division of the Pennsylvania National Guard, Sellersville. Mr. Harlow was a self-employed historical restoration contractor. He accomplished numerous historical restoration projects throughout the State of Pennsylvania over the years, including the Morris Mayer Home, the Moravian Tile Works in Doylestown, the Flagship Niagara docked in Lake Erie, the Daniel Boone Homestead, and the Eckley Miners' Village in Luzerne County. His current projects were the Ralph Stover Mill in Bedminster Twp. and the Christopher Columbus Elementary School in Union City, NJ. He was a former member of the Presbyterian Church of Deep Run, Perkasie. Mr. Harlow had a love for baseball, playing for many area teams and trying out for the U.S. Olympics Baseball Team to be held in Seoul, Korea, during the late 1980's. An avid Los Angeles Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies fan, he attended the Phillies Dream Weeks in Florida for many years. His interests also included reading, World War II history and collecting wooden artifacts. He is survived by two brothers, Robert S. Harlow and his wife, Margaret, of Spinnerstown and Albert J. Harlow, Jr., of Riegelsville; and two sisters, Catherine M. Rush and her husband, Arthur, of Harleysville and Helen A. Schwartz and her husband, Bruce, of Arlington, VA. His Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 25, at 11AM in the original Irish Meeting House of the Presbyterian Church of Deep Run, 16 Irish Meeting House Road, Perkasie. Family and friends may call from 10AM until service time at the adjacent Red School House. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the , 480 Norristown Road, Suite 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
