GEORGE BREISCH, JR. George F. Breisch, Jr., 92, a longtime resident of Upper Gwynedd, died Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Grand View Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 52 years, Alwine "Becky" (Beck) Breisch. Born December 26, 1919 in North Wales, he was a son of the late Helen M. (Kibblehouse) and George F. Breisch, Sr. Mr. Breisch graduated from Ambler High School in 1939 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the U.S.S. Goodhue. He apprenticed as a pattern maker and was employed with the Budd Company until his retirement. George was a member of the Antique Auto Club, American Legion William E. Hare Post No. 206, Lansdale, and was an honorary Kentucky Colonel. Survivors include his sisters, Jean Alderfer-Troster and her husband, Martin, of Savannah, GA and Marjorie Fuehrer of Lower Gwynedd; and a niece, Susan Carfa of Arlington, TX. Relatives and friends may call after 2PM Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Service at 3PM. Burial will be private in Dutch Mountain Cemetery, Sullivan County. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in George's memory to the Montgomery County SPCA, 1059 Sweisford Road, Perkiomenville, PA 18074, or to West Chester University in memory of his late wife, Alwine "Becky" Breisch, 700 South High St., West Chester, PA 19383.
