JAMES CLEMMER James D. Clemmer, 86, of Souderton, went home to be with his Lord Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Grand View Hospital. He was the loving husband of Ethel Y. (Alderfer) Clemmer for 65 years. Jim was born in Sellersville, to the late Lester and Martha (Derstine) Clemmer. He graduated from Souderton High School, class of 1945. Jim attended Pierce Business School. He was a co-owner of Moyer & Son, Inc. Jim was a member of the Gideons International and Souderton Mennonite Church where he formerly served as an elder, Sunday school teacher, church council chair and trustee. He was friend to many who enjoyed dining out and spending time with his family and friends. Jim was a lover of God, family and the church. He was a faithful Gideon who participated in weekly prayer meetings and Bible distribution. Jim believed in hard work, missions and following Jesus. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Karen J. Clemmer of Souderton; his four sons, Kenneth Clemmer and wife, Gayle of Harleysville, Gerald Clemmer and wife, Lydia of Souderton, Michael Clemmer and wife, April of Harleysville, Andrew Clemmer and wife, Pamela of Hagerstown, MD; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his sister, Susan Steiner and husband, Sam of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Viewings will be held Friday, April 12 at Souderton Mennonite Church Fellowship Hall, 105 W. Chestnut St., Souderton from 5PM to 8PM and Saturday, April 13 at Souderton Mennonite Church Fellowship Hall from 10AM to 11:30AM. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 12PM at Souderton Mennonite Church in the sanctuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 1170, Kulpsville, PA 19443.
