Allyn L. Hoffman

1935 - 2016

Allyn L. Hoffman of Lansdale Allyn L. Hoffman, 80, of Lansdale, passed away on February 20, 2016 at Abington Health-Lansdale Hospital in Lansdale. He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Lorraine (nee Potson) Hoffman with whom he was united in marriage with on October 29, 1955 at St. Stanislaus R.C. Church in Lansdale. Born May 25, 1935 in Lansdale, he was the son of the late Chester and Ellen (nee Lindahl) Hoffman. He was a 1953 graduate of North Wales High School, and he had been employed as a Service Manager in the automotive industry for many years. Allyn was also very active for many years with the Boy Scouts of America when his children were younger, and he had been a frequent volunteer of the North Penn Friendship Society. He was a big fan of the Phillies, and most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Allyn will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. Allyn is also survived by his children, Allan “Scott” Hoffman (Debbie), of Perkiomenville, Cheryl Locker (Brian), of Doylestown, Karin Cavanaugh (Ted Scandlin), of Franconia, Erick C. Hoffman (Christina), of Towamencin, and Adam Hoffman (Susie), of San Francisco, CA, his 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, and his brothers, Kenneth Hoffman (Ricki), of FL, and Ronald Hoffman (Doris), of NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Friday morning, February 26, 2016 from 9:30-11:00 AM at Saint Stanislaus R.C. Church, 51 Main Street, Lansdale, PA 19446 where his Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM. Burial will immediately follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler, PA 19002.
