Glenda Faye (Gibbs) Ludwig(1946 - 2018)

Glenda Faye Ludwig, 71, passed away May 30, 2018 with her daughters by her side in St. Louis, Mo.
Glenda was born in Stanford, Arkansas on June 20, 1946 to Conoy (Jackson) and Alvin E. Gibbs.
Picking cotton on the local farm by the age of four, Glenda had the tenacity for hard work and hard decisions. She was forward thinking and a woman of many firsts: From being the first female supervisor at University of Minnesota Hospital, to being the first woman kicked out of a St. Louis pool for wearing a bikini.
Glenda is survived by her second mother Laura Gibbs; her daughters and their spouses: Michelle (Smith) and Steve Haley, Rebecca (Smith) and Eric Wulff; her brothers Alvin Junior (Debbie) Gibbs, and Joshua Gibbs; her grandchildren Elizabeth Marshall and Robert Haley; her great grandchildren Ryan Hofmeister and Colton Hofmeister; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, great friends; and last, but certainly not least, her baby of 14 years: Bell, the cat.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Conoy Jackson and her father, Alvin E. Gibbs.
