Robert Wesley (Bob) Nash, 84, of Rolla, Mo, quietly passed away in the early evening hours of Monday, May 4, 2015 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. He was surrounded by his closest family.
Robert was born September 21, 1930 to Warren Ray and Winona Nash in Trenton, MO. He graduated from Lincoln University High School Laboratory, Jefferson City, MO in 1948. He also attended DeForest (DeVry) University.
A longtime resident of Rolla, Robert enjoyed a lengthy career at the US Bureau of Mines in Rolla, MO from 1953 to 1992, as a Metallurgy Research Technician. He retired after 39 years of service.
He was married to Rosemary (Carter) Nash of Rolla, Mo in June, 1949. They were blessed with three children. Robert Wesley Nash, Jr of Alice, TX (deceased 2009). Surviving children include Robert Jr's Wife, Ava Nash of Alice, TX. Deborah Nash Brooks, Lawrence Raymond and Shirley Nash, all of Victorville, CA. He is survived by six grandchildren who include Lawrence Dutro and Vanessa Nash, US Army, Ft Hood, TX, Helen (CeCi) Alcover, Dallas, TX, Adrienne Ann Mantooth, Victorville, CA, William and Angela Joseph of Baton Rouge, LA, Jon Nash, Alice, TX and Francis Marie Nash, Knoxville, TN. He has five great grandchildren. After the loss of his wife, Rosemary in 1988, Robert remarried Marjorie L. Parket Nash of Chillocothe, MO in 1990. They were married for 25 years.
A memorial service for Robert Nash will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
