She is also survived by her sister-in-law Jean Kauffman, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Jama was a 1954 graduate of Rolla High School, a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, a member of Who's New and You, the Order of the Eastern Star, the Red Hat Society, a founding member of the Rhea Saddle Club, was a recent inductee into the Daughters of The American Revolution, and belonged to the GreenTree Christian Church.
Jama worked for United Telephone Company while in high school and two years after graduation she began a life as a military spouse, raising three children, moving 22 times, and living all over the country and overseas.
