Susan, Robert, David and the rest of the Railton family
We were devastated to hear the news about Pat. Even now I am struggling to believe that she is no longer with you. She was an incredible woman and one that we so looked forward to spending time with when we came back to Bermuda.
Our last memory was a poolside dinner at David's house when she gave him as good as she got. She had amazing spirit and was a joy to be around. She always made our family feel welcome and like we were part of her family.

To my very great friend Sue and the rest of the family, there are no words that can express everyone's sorrow at the passing of such a wonderful lady. I have so many great memories of time spent with the Railton family that will live on with me forever. Your Mum was a great person, the room sparkled when she was in it, and we are all so much better human beings for having met her and for having her in our life. She will be sadly missed by everyone. Dear Sue, David and Robert,
I was not at all surprised to find so many condolences already, in this very short time, and hasten to add those of our own. Pat was initially a friend "by extension", since the days she and Bob travelled everywhere with Sylvia and Derek, and she became an even closer friend in later years. A highly principled and true lady in every respect, she was also a fabulous cook, and we were lucky enough to be regular beneficiaries of her talents! We all know she was deservedly Bermuda's only Easter Lily Queen, but I know she was the "Queen Mum" to all of you in every way.

I was so sad to learn of Pat's death. Thankfully she is now at peace. I remember her mostly from my Blood Donor Centre volunteering days. She was one of our most faithful regular donors and her visits always brought cheer to us all. To her family: please know that my thoughts are with you at this sad time.
