Dearest Carmen and Family,
As I looked at Daddy Jacking lying in the hospital, I prayed a silent prayer that God would let him have some peace. Finally that peace has come for him. While I was ill, he was always calling and checking on me. I will remember that forever. He was a good man, husband, father and grandfather.
May he rest in peace.

Mrs. Durham & Jaymo and the rest of the Family, please allow me to offer my sincerest condolences to you all during this time of sadness. Jackie was a great friend and mentor to myself and many others at the club, his gentle & mild demeanour endeared him to all he came in contact with. We shall miss his wit for the many jokes he told & not to mention his voice as he could really sing a tune. He is in a better place now but he will always be looking down and over you all reminding you he did it his way. Rest in peace my friend, your dirty birds will miss you. Jackie Durham as we knew him from Ewing Street cricket was a legend to us before he even reached Cup Match. The biggest problem we had with him was getting out and we were playing with a tennis ball.I recall once having to jump over a wall landing in banana patches to catch him out.For years we laughed about that right up until recently. To his family he will always be remembered.

To the entire Durham Family, I had the pleasure of working with Jackie during his time with Masters Ltd. Gas Department. He was a good father figure and friend who always gave the best advice. Moreover, he was a great story teller who loved cricket. When Jackie was telling a cricket story the staff would stop working and keenly listen to every word. He truly will be missed. My condolences to the famly and may god strengthen you during this time
