It is with great sadness that the family of Roger Sayers announces his passing in Fort Myers, Florida on February 8th, aged 88 yrs. Roger spent his childhood and early adult years in Bermuda, eventually joining British American Insurance Co. in 1956 as an agent. He worked for BA in Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad for 7 yrs. before moving to the Bahamas for the next 23 yrs. He travelled the world extensively opening offices for the company, became the Bahamas BA President in 1982, and eventually retired in Nassau in 1985. After a brief return to Bermuda, he settled in the U.S. in 1990.Roger is survived by his wife of 63 years, Babs, son Peter (Shelly) Sayers, daughter Debbie, granddaughter Leah, grandsons Ben and Jamie Sayers, sisters Sylvia Selby and Coral (Maurice) Hankey, nieces and nephews, Kim Selby Adair and Jill (Corry) Kowalchuk, Steven Hankey and Janice (Bill) Bucci. He was predeceased by his son Clinton in 1993 and brother-in-law Derek Selby in 1999.
