Frank Cassity passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014 in Billings, Montana
Frank was born May 14, 1926 to Elzie and Anna Haddock Cassity in Cassville, Missouri. After attending school, he served in the Marine Corps in the South Pacific during WWII.. He married Dora Palmer on December 30, 1946. The family farmed in Idaho for 20 years. In 1967, Mr. Cassity attended Montana Institute of the Bible. While attending school, he served with the American Sunday School Union in Brussett, Montana and served as interim pastor at the Evangelical Free Church in Big Timber. After graduating from Bible School, he served as pastor at the Lovell Bible Church and the Bison Bible Church in Bison, South Dakata.
He enjoyed playing basketball, fishing, camping, and song writing.
He is survived by his wife Dora Palmer Cassity, and their 3 children, Doris Orr of Sheridan, WY, Steve Cassity of Billings, and John Cassity of Yukon, OK, granddaughters Sherrie Orr Reish, Naomi Cassity and, Daniell Cassity , grandsons Seth Orr, John Tyrrell Cassity, and Jason Holm; 9 great grandchildren and one brother, Al Cassity.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Karen Sue Cassity, granddaughter Paris Holm, two brothers and 6 sisters.
Visitations will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Smith Downtown Chapel and at the church prior to the funeral. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 14 at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Shiloh Road in Billings with interment and military honors at Mountview Cemetery.
